The Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data available for the Gulf of Mexico region and the Atlantic Coast region for the end of 2008.  This data is used by scientists for studying hurricanes.  For more information please  click here.

Legend for sea surface temperature. The color scale ranges from dark blue for areas below 15 degrees Celsius to dark red for regions above 35 degrees Celsius.

The last 10 day average for 2008 of SST anomalies derived from Aqua/AMSR-E SST measurements.   This data is used by scientists for studying El Niño and La Niña cycles.
