Brunei Bay Boats
Brunei Bay, located on the northwest coast of Borneo, serves as a major anchorage for commercial vessels, including large cargo ships and oil tankers. This time series of Harmonized Landsat and Sentinel-2 (HLS) imagery captures the dynamic nature of this maritime hub. As ships arrive, wait at anchor, and eventually depart, changing ocean currents and tides cause the anchored vessels to rotate and sway, creating a dynamic display of ship traffic over time.
A natural-color Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) time series of Brunei Bay spanning from March 12, 2015, to December 7, 2023, revealing the continuous arrival and departure of ships, as well as their rotation and swaying with the ocean currents over time.
