Erosion in the Beaufort Sea Coastline

For the past 40 years, the coastline of Alaska’s Beaufort Sea has been retreating. This time series uses near-infrared imagery to contrast land and water, highlighting how thawing permafrost and longer ice-free seasons have accelerated coastal erosion, reshaping the Arctic landscape.
