So one of the unique challenges of the OSIRIS-REx mission is the microgravity
environment that we're going to, which is very different from us than orbiting a planet as we're used to.
Without the large gravity of a planet, the navigation uncertainties affect
us a lot more. And the non-gravitational forces on the spacecraft affect our
trajectory in ways that make it much more dynamic from a power and thermal point of view
on the spacecraft. We're also working on a much shorter turnaround times since our
optical navigation has to be downlinked every day and that drives a much faster turnaround times
for us from a data and downlink point of view.
