There's evidence of water flowing on Mars at one point in time, perhaps even oceans on Mars. And what happened; that its so barren at this point in time? And a key part of that is the atmosphere in its a much thinner atmosphere than what scientists believe it was at one point in time. So, the stripping away of that upper atmosphere that's what MAVEN is going after with the climate change at Mars.
