Hi, my name is Christine Redmond. I'm from Brighton, Michigan, and I'm currently studying aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech. And I'm an intern here at Goddard in the Advanced Manufacturing Branch. The work environment in the Advanced Manufacturing Branch is really busy, and it's a really dynamic place to work. I really like the work I'm doing with the electrohydrodynamic pump because I really get to put my engineering knowledge to work. And just seeing things come together and knowing that it's going to be flown on the Vomit Comet so it's a good way of testing to make sure that our pump will since we can't actually test it in space yet.
Well, my ultimate goal to work here at Goddard so just being here as an intern, seeing how things work. Now that I'm here in my third summer, it's a lot different because I know who to go to to ask questions if I need help with something I know how things get done. So it really put me in a leadership position for the other interns. If they have questions, I usually know who to go to to talk to.
