            "description": "On a mission to “touch the Sun,” NASA's Parker Solar Probe became the first spacecraft to fly through the corona — the Sun’s upper atmosphere — passing within 3.8 million miles of the solar surface during its closest approaches. Parker Solar Probe flies through the corona at speeds up to 430,000 mph taking measurements to help scientists better understand the fundamental drivers of solar activity and space weather events that can impact life on Earth.
