Two of the fires, Eaton and Palisades, affected densely populated neighborhoods, spreading rapidly from structure to structure and combining to cause severe damage to over 16,000 homes and businesses.\r\n\r\nData tracking the spread of these fires was captured by CAL FIRE. These perimeters were determined through a mix of satellite imagery, aerial surveillance, and on-the-ground reports, providing a detailed look at how these fires spread day by day.
