Baltimore, Maryland has one of the highest occurrences of asthma in the country. This study is an attempt to find a geographic correlation with the high asthma findings. The results are derived from hospital admission data throughout all of Maryland. The zipcodes of each patient's home are normalized against each zipcode's population, and mapped per month. Thereby zipcode regions with high incidents of asthma cases are highlighted with bright yellow, where areas with lesser cases have little to no yellow tint.
