Roman Launches and a New Era Begins (Official NASA Recap)
NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope successfully lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, at 7:26 a.m. EDT (1126 UTC) on August 30, 2026.
The telescope is destined for Sun-Earth Lagrange Point 2 (L2), about 1 million miles away where it will transform our understanding of the universe.
