Mission Proposal: Polar GOES-like spacecraft (riding the spacecraft - animated clouds)
|
This visualization was created to support a mission proposal led by Lars Peter Riishojgaard. This mission would fly a GOES-like spacecraft in a polar elliptical orbit around the Earth providing a large percentage of observing time for northen polar regions. This version of the visualization has the camera riding the orbit as the spacecraft would with GOES clouds animating on the Earth. The clouds are contantly lit so as to provide an infra-red (IR) type of view.
