Ocean Planet: Final Version with Credits
The Ocean Planet is a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution which opened in Washington DC on April 22, 1995. A part of the exhibition was a computer flyby of the Pacific Ocean developed in the SVS. This animation represents a stage in the development of that flyby.

Starting from space, this fly-by approaches the Earth and, then travels underwater, following the ocean floor topography, passing boats, sea life, and submarines in the process, finally resurfaceing above the water and traveling back into space.    Starting from space, this fly-by approaches the Earth and, then travels underwater, following the ocean floor topography, passing boats, sea life, and submarines in the process, finally resurfaceing above the water and traveling back into space.
