This animation shows the monthly average total-sky outgoing
shortwave flux from CERES for July 2002 through June 2004.   3097 Animator
Average Total-sky Outgoing Shortwave Flux (WMS)
This animation shows 29 orbits (2 days) of CERES
measurements of regions of solar reflectivity, from June 20-21, 2003.   3104 Animator
  Instantaneous Scene Identification (WMS)
This animation shows incoming solar flux corresponding
to 29 orbits (2 days) of CERES measurements, from June 20-21, 2003. This data
is calculated using data from SORCE for the flux magnitude at the Earths orbit,
coupled with solar incidence angles based on CERES measurement locations and
times.   3105 Animator
  Instantaneous Incoming Solar Flux (WMS)
This animation shows net radiation flux corresponding
to 29 orbits (2 days) of CERES measurements, from June 20-21, 2003. This data
is calculated from CERES outgoing longwave and shortwave measurements, along
with a corresponding calculated incoming solar flux.   3106 Animator
  Instantaneous Net Radiation Flux (WMS)
This animation shows 29 orbits (2 days) of CERES
measurements of outgoing longwave radiation, from June 20-21, 2003.   3107 Animator
  Instantaneous Outgoing Longwave Flux (WMS)
This animation shows 29 orbits (2 days) of CERES
measurements of outgoing shortwave radiation, from June 20-21, 2003.   3108 Animator
  Instantaneous Outgoing Shortwave Flux (WMS)
Newly updated print resolution image showing the retreat of Jakobshavns calving front from 2001 to 2004.   3076 Animator
Jakobshavn Glacier Calving Front Recession Updated (2001-2004)
Jakobshavn glacier flow with 1992 data in red and 2000 data in blue   3072 Animator
  Jakobshavn Glacier, Greenland flow field
Print resolution image showing the retreat of Jakobshavns calving front from 2001 to 2003.   3053 Animator
Jakobshavn Glacier Calving Front Recession (2001-2003)
As the Jakobshavn Glacier discharges ice from its mouth, tributary ice streams show signs of acceleration. This series of Landsat images from 2002 shows rapid migration of ice features downstream, triggering adjacent land ice to accelerate downslope. A sequence of 7 Landsat images cycles at the end of the animation repeatedly to better see the flow.   3054 Animator
  Jakobshavn Glacial Floe
A rendering of the model of the Earths magnetosphere. The flat ribbons represent charged particles entering the influence of the magnetosphere and being deflected. The curved lines visible to the right represent the magnetic field lines extending out from the Earth. The force from the sun pushes these lines into a distinctive tail-like shape. Finally, the green surface represents a constant value for the magnetic field strength.   3028 Animator
A 3-Dimensional Model of the Magnetosphere (WMS)
This animation shows the portion of the Earth visible from the Galileo spacecraft.   2971 Animator
Scientist
